Evolution of the PV system price in Europe

The investment costs for a PV system vary depending on the size of the plant (kWp), the installation conditions and the quality / origin of the plant components.

Smaller solar power plants (e.g. 3 kW) are more expensive (per kWp) than larger solar systems (e.g. 100 kW). Systems parallel to the roof are cheaper than elevated solar systems. Special solutions such as integrated into the roof or facade are more expensive because of the expense and the special components.

Specific system costs for SHIP plants (Solar heat in industrial processes) vary over a wide range. The charts below show the specific system costs for existing SHIP plants all over the world documented in the [http://www.ship-plants.info// SHIP Database]. The data fully depend on the data provided by the various companies.

Cost Analysis of PV systems

The investment costs for a PV system vary depending on the size of the plant (kWp), the installation conditions and the quality / origin of the plant components. Smaller solar power plants (e.g. 3 kW) are more expensive (per kWp) than larger solar systems (e.g. 100 kW). Systems parallel to the roof are cheaper than elevated solar systems. Special solutions such as integrated into the roof or facade are more expensive because of the expense and the special components.
